Lake Huron Hall getting a new look on the inside
Lake Huron Hall, one of the first academic buildings on the Allendale Campus, is undergoing a transformation. The building is being gutted for a complete renovation and will reopen in August 2020.

Campus Drive to close for construction beginning May 6
The main road through the Allendale Campus (North and South Campus Drive) will be closed from May 6-August 9 due to construction. Crews will be making improvements to prepare for The Rapid's new Laker Line.

Longtime head of Facilities Planning to retire
James Moyer, associate vice president for Facilities Planning and member of the President's Cabinet, will retire March 31. During Moyer's 22-year career at Grand Valley, he managed the development of more than 4 million square feet of expansion at the university, including major building projects at the Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses and centers in Muskegon.

Renovated Performing Arts Center gets new name, increased support
The Thomas J. and Marcia J. Haas Center for Performing Arts will be dedicated August 25 and named in honor of the president and first lady of Grand Valley. The former Performing Arts Center on the Allendale Campus has gone through an extensive renovation and will reopen in time for the fall semester.
