This year’s overwhelming interest in Grand Valley shows that we’ve now moved from ideation to impact as we redefine how public higher education should serve the greater good. Of course, as we look at the opportunities in front of us, our ideas are grounded in who we are and informed by the needs of the communities. That said, the truth is these strategies only take hold when you believe in what we’re doing and help create the early momentum behind these initiatives.

One of the early champion stories in this issue is Anthony Manganaro, an entrepreneur and GVSU supporter. Anthony’s belief in access and equity led to supporting a variety of projects including our T4 scholarships, our REP4 initiative and more recent work delivering education enriched by AI and XR. Enjoy reading more about Anthony and his legacy.

Anthony is certainly not the only advocate who has walked alongside us as we continue down the path to become a flagship university for the future. I want to thank all who have joined us on this journey and I ask each of you to consider being an early champion of our work. Whether it’s your time, your treasure, your talent or simply amplifying our work, more believers in GVSU creates a growing cumulative effect for a better tomorrow.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
