Graduate Student Research Resources
GVSU offers a range of resources to support graduate student research, writing, and project development. Graduate students can use these services to strengthen their research skills, refine their writing, and complete thesis or capstone projects with confidence.
Writing Support
Writing and research support is available through the Knowledge Market, where students can get help with grant proposals, citations, cover letters, and other academic writing common to graduate study.
Research Support
University Libraries offer access to research databases and subject guides to help students find scholarly sources for their work. Students can also get research help from a subject specialist for support with their research needs.
Thesis + Dissertations
Graduate students can find guidance, requirements, forms, and submission information on the Thesis + Dissertation page and related resources. The page includes information on the thesis or dissertation process, workshops, important dates, plagiarism training, and forms.
Data Analysis Support
Students working with data analysis, models, or interpretation can contact the Statistical Consulting Center for help with project and thesis work. This support can be especially useful for research that includes quantitative analysis or statistical methods.
Need Additional Guidance?
Graduate students should consult their program director, advisor, or faculty member for program-specific research questions and expectations. GVSU resources are intended as general support and do not replace course or faculty guidance.
