The Instruction and Curriculum program emphasis in Early Childhood Education prepares graduates to work in early childhood Pre-K settings, from birth through age eight (3rd grade).

The annual national mean salary for instructional coordinators is $64,878 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Elementary school teachers earned a yearly mean salary of $57,730 in 2015, while secondary school teachers made a mean yearly salary of $60,440. Elementary and secondary school administrators, including principals, assistant principals and school administrators, earned a yearly average of $92,940. Education Consultants make around $94,839 in Grand Rapids, Michigan according to Overall employment of postsecondary teachers is projected to grow 15 percent from 2016 to 2026. Instruction and Curriculum graduates often hold the following job titles:

M.Ed. in Instruction and Curriculum admission requirements and application for admission are available online. The $30 application fee is waived if you’ve already applied to Grand Valley.

Applications for the College of Education Graduate Studies programs are now being accepted for Spring/Summer 2020Fall 2020, and Winter 2021.  Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis, for a limited time.
