Remote Undergraduate Research Assistantship

The Geography and Sustainable Planning Department is now
accepting applications for a remote
Undergraduate Research
Assistantship funded by GVSU Office of Undergraduate Research and
Scholarship.
This RA position is a part of our project titled “Elevating Youth
Leadership and Peer-Learning to Support
Climate Adaptation in West
Michigan Lakeshore Frontline Communities (ELF)”, funded by the
University
of Michigan and NOAA GLISA program. Summer RA could be
extended during the academic year
pending good performance.
Required qualifications:
• Full-time undergraduate studies at
GVSU. Open to all majors.
• Strong interest in climate change,
education, justice, and youth leadership.
• Excellent
communication and organizational skills.
Desired criteria:
• Secondary education major is
preferred.
• K-12 (substitute) teaching experience is highly
desirable.
• Outstanding written communication and attention to
detail.
• Strong interest in climate change adaptation and
community resiliency.
• Community college experience would be a
plus but not required.
