GPY 380: Historical Geography of the Colonial Era (9 Photos)
This Field Studies in Geography course will allow the student to have a field experience that will give them a better understanding of the physical and social impacts of our National Parks. Mammoth Cave, Great Smoky Mountain, and the Outer Banks will be the central focus of the experience, but the group will visit several other National Parks, National Historic Sites, National Monuments, and public sites that provide a high impact learning experience. Prior to departure the student will experience an online course for several weeks that includes background readings and discussions, about some of the places that will be visited in the field course. This course is sure to spark the imagination and trigger that sense of adventure that only a hands-on experience can offer.
