The summit is October 2, noon-5 p.m. at the DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health.
A shared vision to showcase the transformative role of technology at GVSU sparked the creation of a new campus-wide event: the GV Technology Summit.
What began as a conversation between Miloš Topic, vice president for Information Technology and chief digital officer, and Eric Bellmore, director of Academic Research Computing, quickly gained momentum.
“We wanted to highlight the incredible tech-driven work happening across the university,” Bellmore shared. “This is a chance to reflect on how far we've come and imagine what's possible in the future.”
The inaugural summit is Thursday, October 2, noon-5 p.m. at the DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health (DCIH) in Grand Rapids. It’s free and open to all GVSU students, faculty and staff.
Hosted by IT in collaboration with departments and colleges across the university, the summit will feature:

While this is the first GV Technology Summit, the vision is for it to grow and evolve in the years ahead.
“We’re excited to see how an event like this can spark awareness and engagement around the role technology plays in strengthening our work with students and the broader community,” said Bellmore. “This year is just the beginning, a stepping stone toward showcasing the collaborative, innovative work happening across the university and beyond.”
