The campus community is invited to participate in the annual fall semester Campus Safety Night Walks.

These walks, offered through a partnership between the GVSU Department of Public Safety and the Faculty Facilities Planning Advisory Committee, allow students, faculty and staff to better understand the Public Safety team's campus safety strategy and approach to maintaining a safe environment for Lakers.

In addition, the walks allow the Public Safety team and campus community members to see GVSU's campuses through each other's eyes, while creating connections between officers and the community they serve.

By all measures, GVSU is an exceptionally safe environment, Public Safety officials said. The nighttime walks present an opportunity to ensure open communication, foster different perspectives and recognize possible ways to enhance safety.

All walks are scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. Each walk will be completed in two hours or less and is limited to 30 people to allow for meaningful conversations. Register early to reserve a spot.
