More than 2,000 prospective Grand Valley students, their families and supporters attended one of three Laker Open House events hosted by the Admissions & Recruitment Office.

Danny C. Vélez, associate vice president for Admissions & Recruitment, said many campus departments collaborated to make the events successful. An exploration fair kicked off each open house with information from Financial Aid, Housing and Residence Life, Student Life, Career Center, Padnos International Center and all academic programs.

"Students and guests were able to preview the Laker experience with help from the departments that helped us staff the exploration fair," Vélez said. "Students were able to engage directly with faculty and staff members and learn more about what life as a Laker looks like."

Tours of campus and housing were led by student tour guides and student ambassadors.
