Career Center podcast celebrates No. 100

The GVSU Career Center released the 100th episode of its "Work Like a Laker" podcast on February 24, This milestone comes in its eighth season and eighth year.

The first episode of the podcast was released on September 14, 2018. The Career Center staff created the podcast as a way to support Lakers as they prepared to enter the workforce. Hosted by Career Center staff members, each episode covers a different topic in detail. Previously covered topics include finding internships, navigating LinkedIn, writing a resume, making the most of career fairs and more. 

Many of the episodes feature special guests. These guests range from alumni to interns to business owners, with each person bringing a unique and expert outlook to the topic.

The 100th episode takes place in Traverse City and explores the popular vacation spot as a realistic place to live and work. The hosts interviewed four different residents and employers who shared their unique perspective on living, studying and working in Traverse City.
