Paul Isely, professor of economics
and associate dean at the Seidman College of Business, was interviewed
by FOX 17 for a story
about how proposed tariffs could impact craft breweries.
Salvatore Alaimo, associate professor of nonprofit management, was interviewed by WalletHub for a story about America's neediest cities.
President Philomena V. Mantella, Acting Provost Jennifer Drake and student Erin Searcy were interviewed by East Kentwood High School's Falcon News Network for a story about the Blue Dot Ecosystem published by School News Network.
Amy Schelling, associate dean of the College of Education and Community Innovation, was interviewed by MLive for a story about the MI Future Educator Program, which offers scholarships to students who commit to teaching in a Michigan public school.

Management Professionals for his dissertation at the University of
Arkansas, "How Supply Chains Respond to Disruptions: Three Essays
on Responses to Operational, Geopolitical, and Natural Disaster Disruptions."
Jesse Bernal, vice president for strategy and chief of staff to the president, was reappointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan to a term that will end in 2027.
Jacki Cwick, associate professor of criminology, criminal justice, and legal studies, was a co-author of an article, "Examining Firearm Offenses: Social Disorganization, Proximity From Home, and Crime Type," published in Crime & Delinquency.
Karen Zivi, professor of political science, wrote a chapter, "Epilogue: On Retraining the Senses," published in a book, Feminist Theory: Two Conversations, by Palgrave Macmillan.
Adrienne A. Wallace, associate professor of advertising and public relations, was elected to the Commission on Public Relations Education Board of Directors as a director-at-large. She will continue working as the delegate to the Journal of Public Relations Education in this role and as co-chair of the research committee.
Charles Pazdernik, professor of Classics, was a panelist and gave a presentation during a conference, "I Do Solemnly Swear": Oaths In Long Late Antiquity, hosted by the University of Hamburg in Germany.
