Description of the Organization
Charles river is a contract research organization. They have been responsible for over 80% of FDA approved drugs in the last 3 years. Charles River is involved in all phases of clinical trials, research models and design, bioanalysis, quality control, and quality assurance. My internship position was located at the Charles River site in Mattawan, Michigan.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was able to work with department heads to contribute statistical analysis and interpretation to a manuscript that was published this year. I also worked on many contracted studies by analyzing and validating the data.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
SAS, SAS macro language, collaboration through different departments, scientific writing skills

The team is extremely friendly and helpful. They really want to help you succeed and are a great support system.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This experience has validated my career choice. I absolutely love the work I do and would recommend an internship experience to anyone.
