Description of the Organization
The West Michigan Whitecaps are a High-A affiliate to the Detroit Tigers. Not only are they a professional baseball team, but they also host an array of events both at LMCU Ballpark and elsewhere.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I have participated in group sales, individual sales, coordinating with clients, operations, special events, and much more.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I have gained great knowledge and experience in sales. Learning different ticket systems, working on soft skills/people skills with clients, and an overall feel of how professional baseball organizations run.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part was the people and the experience. Everyone has been very helpful and we have some very fun times here. From department outings to intern olympics, we have definitely worked hard and played hard.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Extremely influential in teaching me how to work in professional sports. Learning new systems and how to deal with clients will help me immensely in whatever job I have next.
