Innotec is mainly an automotive supplier built on the principle that people work better when they are involved in every aspect of a project they are working on and seeks to create small business feel within a larger company.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I assisted with the launch of a laser cutting machine that was design to cut steel pieces to size. I completed tasks relating to controls, programming, mechanical design and debug, and machine prove out for launch.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Programming in flow chart and structured text, a better understanding of controls practices, and a more long term approach to mechanical design.
Favorite Part of the Experience
Taking a machine from not being ready to launch to proven out, debugged, and meeting cycle and quality requirements,
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It helped reinforce my interest in controls engineering, and may guide any future path I have in a graduate course.
