Description of the Organization
Mahle is a German based company most well know for their power cylinder unit components. They are now diversified into other fields such as filtration and thermal management.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Working in the design department, I was responsible for designing pistons, bearings, piston rings, and connecting rods. I also created drawings related to these 3D models. I worked closely with other engineers from related companies such as Ford, GM, an Chrysler.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I have gained specific design knowledge regarding power cylinder units.
Favorite Part of the Experience
As a garage raised gear-head, it was especially nice being surrounded by people with the same interests. Only the Motor City can provide this kind of environment.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I am going to continue to pursue my interests in the automotive field.
