The WMSC has partnered with several other organizations and celebrities to help make each event successful and a great time for those who participate.

Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed

I worked with the Meijer State Games of Michigan as their Vendor Coordinator. My job was to bring in different organizations/businesses to be apart of our Opening Ceremonies event which kicks off the games. After about 50 days of preparation for the games, we worked the opening ceremonies event and assisted each sport to help make the Summer Games a huge hit!

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

I was able to really gain a more hands on experience in an office setting compared to my last internship. Each day I was responsible for reaching out to these organizations via email and phone. This took me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to gain communication skills.

Favorite Part of the Experience

My favorite part of my internship was getting the opportunity to work with my coworkers and gain new friends. I had the best boss in the world, who made our jobs fun while also challenging us to be our best.

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

This experience influenced my future career goals by allowing me to see the different jobs in the sports world. I was able to get a better understanding of the sales/marketing side of sports which will help me in deciding what job will best fit me one day.
