Description of the Organization
JR is a company that designs and builds automation solutions for numerous different industries. The put together the robotic cells you see on assembly lines.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I worked on a number of different jobs. I set up and updated electrical prints and did the same to their corresponding bill of materials. I also did do some work with plc programming. I did some work testing vision sensors as well.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned a lot about how to properly look up information I need. I also learned a lot about the some of the theoretical ideas presented to me in physics are applied via numerous different sensors. I learned how to read and interpret electrical prints.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part about my co-op experience was learning about all the interesting technology and the applications for it.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It has shown me some possible options for my future which has helped me narrow down where I want to go with that future.
