Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Trouble shooting PLC alarms to reduce consistency, implementing and and modifying parts of machines to facilitate work flow, and using NFCs/RFIDs to organize PLC and other electrical components.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I would say that I learned how to improvise and use skills and knowledge that I have accumulated throughout my engineering classes. For example, GVSU has heavy emphases on specific programming languages along with 3D model software such as C, Arduino, Vivado, and SolidWorks respectively. At my work none of these really showed up but the tasks was on the same trajectory that I had little to no time getting acclimated.
Favorite Part of the Experience
When I took a class at one of the development centers to control the Fanuc robots. I spent the a few days programming it to perform various of tasks and that was very cool.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It has motivated me to keep pushing through school because working has shown me that everything that I have done in school goes in a full circle. In other words, my every day tasks were complete comprehensive skills and knowledge I have gain throughout my academia.
