Description of the Organization
Innotec is a mostly automotive manufacturer which produces a majority of lighting but also headrest tubing, counterweights, and a few others. They are not a huge company although they have 5 buildings in Zeeland, as well as buildings in Hungary, Mexico, and China.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
My main task was running laser cell production which included cleaning, repairs, and other general maintenance on the 6 laser cutter machines as well as the Sort Ný Etch. I also completed side projects of 2D CAD and gcoding, 5s projects, cycle time improvements, welding, duct work, motors, etc.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Critical thinking, gcoding, 2D CAD, duct work, welding, production scheduling, and general mechanical engineering.
Favorite Part of the Experience
Gaining more responsibilities in laser cell production.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
It has given me confidence and a larger drive in reaching higher in my engineering career.
