Description of the Organization
Pigeon Creek Golf Course is a family owned business. Super small work environment everyone knew everyone. Very welcoming group of people. Over-all Pigeon Creek was well organized schedule was sent out monthly and staff was very flexible with hours.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Day to day task included cleaning and restocking the club house, answering the phones, checking in people for tee-times and organizing the golf carts. On weekends there were more outings therefore you had to help set up and take down the outing, make sure everyone is playing a at a smooth pace.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
From this experience I learned a lot about what to do when hosting an event and what not to do when hosting an event. I also learned how to plan and set up different kinds of outings.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part about my internship experience was the connections and opportunity it had brought me. I learned a lot of new things not only about events but about myself as well.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I now know that I enjoy planning events and hope to do it in the future some day for bigger sport organization.
