Description of the Organization
A Professional Indoor Football team based out of Muskegon. It is a small Front Office, most of the employees are paid interns.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I handled player intake, preparation for games as well as production of the game.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
The biggest skill that I gained is being able to have foresight and brainstorm ideas for the future of the team.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this internship was how close everyone who works in the front office has become. The GM, Nate Smith, has become a close friend and is a great mentor. He is someone who I talk to almost daily and not just about work. As long as Nate is the GM of this team I think this is a great spot for anyone looking to be involved in sports. Strongly recommend.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Before this internship I had hoped to be an Athletic Director. Now after going through this season I will be returning to the team. It has changed my outlook from wanting to be a high school athletic director to wanting to stay involved in Professional Minor League Sports.
