Description of the Organization

Founded in 1967, the St. Louis Blues are a professional hockey team based in St. Louis, MO. They are members of the Central Division in the National Hockey League. Recently, the St. Louis Blues became the 2019 Stanley Cup Champions for the first time in franchise history.

Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed

I filled internal/external ticket requests for events at the Enterprise Center. I assisted in ticket resolution issues during events at Enterprise Center/Stifel Theatre in the box office. I helped with archiving of paperwork/data from previous Blues. Finally, I assisted with the development of the 2019-2020 season and single game plan tickets. Helping to set price codes, event and ticket interfaces.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

I learned how to work both together as a team and independently to accomplish organizational goals. Often, I was involved in problem solving ticketing issues for customers and events that forced me to remain calm under pressure.

Favorite Part of the Experience

Hands down the best part was being in Enterprise Center when the St. Louis Blues won the 2019 Stanley Cup. The atmosphere of the arena and city was electric! It was unlike any experience I have ever had in professional sporting, and a memory I will never forget!

How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals

This internship has strengthened my drive to work in a professional sports setting. Being able to work in an NHL box office has only solidified my desire to continue in the ticket operations field.
