DornerWorks is a small embedded systems engineering company based in Grand Rapids that employs around 80 engineers.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I got to work on developing GUI applications in Python for integration testing and configuring embedded systems, as well as developing embedded software in C.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned about GUI application design, Python programming, and embedded/IoT system development.
Favorite Part of the Experience
The best part of the experience was getting to work with an incredibly talented team of engineers on fun and challenging projects!
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I've learned a lot about embedded development, and this co-op has given me a strong interest in developing software for embedded systems.
