Description of the Organization
The organization I did my internship through was Toledo Christian. Its a preK-12 school in Toledo, Ohio. Theres about 540 students in the school and including staff the total size is 620.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was in charge of game set up, media relations, game tear down, overseeing the ticketing operation, I helped with field maintenance, and they just started a new football conference so some of the tasks I had included growing that as well.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Time, Management, organization, a strengthened ability to adapt on the fly, the importance of communication throughout the staff before and during the game, and strengthened people skills.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part about this internship was the impact I was able to not only have on the program but also being able to go back to my old high school and help with the department that helped make me who I am today.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Its really enforced my career goal of being an athletic director.
