A small literary press located in Colorado. Less than 20 staff. The interns work directly with the Editor-In-Chief.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Tasked with reading over submitted manuscripts and providing supplemental feedback to inform the larger decision made by the publishing house. Additionally, an intern may provide copy-editing and proof-reading work.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Interns gain an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the publishing world form the eyes of the editor, author, and literary agent.
Favorite Part of the Experience
The lectures hosted by our supervisor were the single most informative part of the internship. Endlessly supportive.
