Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed

As an Inside Sales Representative for the Grand Rapids Gold, I made a significant impact on the teamýs business operations. My role centered around driving ticket sales, managing ticket operations, engaging with customers, and contributing to revenue generation. What did I sell? I successfully sold a diverse range of ticket packages, including: - Season Tickets - Single Game Tickets (Grandstand & Court-side) - Premium seating options - Hospitality areas - Birthday packages - Fan Engagement Packages (FEP) such as the Court of Dreams, High Five Tunnel, and Anthem Buddies Accolades - G-League Midseason Rookie Sales Leaderboard: - Achieved $96,554 in total ticket revenue, earning 5th place among Rookie sellers across the G-League. - Generated an impressive $52,565 in Group Revenue, securing 3rd place among Rookie sellers. - Sold a remarkable 1,875 Group Tickets, ranking 3rd among Rookie sellers league-wide.

Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience

Through this role, I acquired invaluable hands-on experience with every aspect of the sales process, including cold calling, conducting in-person meetings, and managing email outreach. I also participated in local business and community networking events to connect with new audiences and expand my sales pipeline. The most significant takeaway from this experience has been understanding the power of networking and relationship-building. Making connections can open unexpected doors and create opportunities you might never have anticipated.

It may sound cliché, but honestly... EVERYTHING! This opportunity was absolutely perfect for preparing me for my next career move. I couldnýt have asked for a better organization or situation to launch my journey. I had an incredible time doing it, and every moment was a blast. It truly was a dream job!

This experience has had an immense impact on my career goals and aspirations. Working for my hometown team in West Michigan was nothing short of a dream come true. It was an extraordinary opportunity that helped launch my career in sports and prepared me for the next steps. The mentorship I received from Trey Conner (Chief Operating Officer) and Billy Speyer (Account Executive) was truly transformative. They guided, challenged, and inspired me to grow, while helping me lay the foundation for a successful future. Iým deeply grateful for the lasting influence theyýve had on my development and career trajectory. My Advice to Future Sport Management Majors: - Always give 110%! Your work ethic is everything. Leaders and managers are often observing, even when you donýt realize it. Hard work and dedication speak louder than words. - Say yes to every opportunity! Step up and volunteer for anything and everything. Your willingness to take initiative shows that youýre dependable. In this industry, every opportunity is a chance to prove yourself. - Keep a positive attitude! Tough days happen, but approaching them with positivity and enthusiasm can make all the difference. Working in sports is a privilege that many people dream aboutýembrace it and let your excitement shine. - Be curious and ask questions! Demonstrate your eagerness to learn from those around you.
