Description of the Organization
The Recreation and Wellness Department at GVSU has many different facets to it, including competitive sports which ranges from Intramural to Club Sports.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was tasked with handling day to day external and internal operations for things surrounding club sports. I wrote numerous articles for our website (gvsuclubsports.com), coordinated appropriate spreadsheets for day to day functions of our clubs, handled organization of specific files for our clubs and office, and supervised all things involved with game operations.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I gained many skills through my experience with GVSU Club Sports that I will be able to use in my future endeavors. I learned how to operate and create website information, gained skills within game operation duties, and many specific skills dedicated to coordinating a competitive sports program.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of my experience with GVSU Club Sports was being able to connect and grow relationships with so many great people.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Through my time here with GVSU Club Sports, I have realized my passion for campus recreation and hope to have a career within that area.
