Session 4: Maximizing Social Security
Presenter: Vonda Vantil
Public Affairs Specialist with Social Security Administration
This session will provide details on not only the social security retirement program, but will also cover the not so common filing strategy options including those related to spouse and divorced spouse benefits, key factors to consider when determining the right time to file, how to work and collect benefits at the same time, and how and when to file the application. Additionally, learn how your decision on when to file for social security benefits can affect widow(er)s benefits. We know that navigating a government program can be overwhelming. However, you will be amazed at how easy it is to work with social security to navigate their planning resources, get your questions answered and utilize online tools to ensure you make the best possible decisions.
