Welcome to the 1st Energizing Our Weekend Family Fun Event! We hope you find the sessions below fun, engaging, and educational! All structured sessions last 45 minutes and start on the hour. The bus for the Sustainable Project Farm will load on the hour (10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, & 2:00). The last bus ride will load at 2:00 p.m. If you are hungry, visit Big Red’s Food Truck located in Parking Lot MP! We ask that you be kind and respectful of others. Taking Care of Our Water

Students will learn how native plants filter pollutants and where native flowers and shrubs make the most impact. Students will have the opportunity to create native seed bombs to help their own watersheds and learn how to make a difference in fighting nonpoint source pollution.

Open House - Location for this session is a 5 minute bus ride to the farm! Bus stop is located at LOT MP next to the Marketplace by the parking lots. Look for the RMSC canopy or you can drive yourself!

Take a trip on Zeeland Public School’s electric bus and visit the Sustainable Agriculture Project to view various internship projects across various stages of completion.

Learn how artists have engaged with environmental issues and the environmental movement. Reflecting on the work of Andy Goldsworthy, you will create ephemeral artwork made from sustainably-sourced natural materials. Please note: All artwork will be temporarily on display until it needs to be taken apart to create new artwork during this event – like true ephemeral art! We will compost all materials at the end of the day.
