Vanguard Charter Academy
Vanguard Charter Academy opened in 1996 with a K-5 enrollment of 248 students and 10 teachers, and has grown into a K-8 school with an enrollment of 775 students and more than 42 full and part-time teachers, and 12 support staff. The academy believes in operating on a four-pillar approach to education that includes a focus of academic excellence, moral virtues, student responsibility, and parental partnership. The academy's program not only supports state standards, the Common Core State Standards, but provides a unique college-bound approach that delivers the specific knowledge, skills and objectives students are expected to master in each subject area at each grade level. The overarching goal for students is to have them academically and morally ready to enter college after high school graduation.
