About
Kristi joined the Charter Schools Office in July 2025 to support the team's leadership and front office operations. Prior to working at GVSU, Kristi spent 10 years serving as an instructional coach, academic interventionist and fifth-grade teacher in a charter public school in Muskegon. In her roles, she often was tasked with creating data-driven instruction and coaching plans to meet the unique needs of students, families, and her fellow staff members. She also brings experience in higher ed to her role at the CSO, having worked within the Office of the Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations at Michigan State University.
