On July 11, 2025, the GVSU Board of Trustees acted on one item related to GVSU-authorized charter public schools, approving the appointments and reappointments of 23 total charter school board members.
The GVSU Charter Schools Office thanks the 13 board members who renewed their service to their community school, and is excited to welcome the following 10 individuals as new board members for GVSU-authorized charter schools:

- Angela Raspberry -- Detroit Achievement Academy

- Kimberly Jackson -- Legacy Charter Academy
- Craig Smith -- Oakland Academy
- Jared Hopkins -- Paragon Charter Academy
- Michael Porter -- Public School Academies of Detroit
