Club Sports Athletic Training & Injury Care Clinic

GVSU Club Sports Athletic Training exists as a partnership between GVSU Club Sports and Trinity Health Muskegon. A dedicated Athletic Trainer supports the club sports throughout the week in the ICC, before/during most practice times, and at all home events. The Injury Care Clinic (ICC) is available to all GVSU students, staff, and community members, and equipment/supplies are offered at no cost to registered club sport student-athletes.

Physical Therapy through Trinity Health Muskegon is also available as a billable service at our ICC location.

Abby Willock

Abby is an Athletic Trainer for Trinity Health and works in the Injury Care Clinic and for all the Club Sports at GVSU. She earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree from Grand Valley State University. Abby enjoys working with collegiate student-athletes and she is enthusiastic she is doing this at her own Alma Mater! When she's not in the Injury Care Clinic, Abby can be found playing sports, traveling, and hanging with friends and family.

Injury Care Clinic services are FREE for all patients; including students, faculty, and staff

The Injury Care Clinic (ICC) exists as a partnership between GVSU Recreation & Wellness, Trinity Health Muskegon, and GVSU's academic programs. Our mission is to administer care to injured GVSU students, staff, and community members. In order to best serve the community, the Injury Care Clinic operates on a "first come, first serve" basis. Clinic services include:

  • Injury Evaluation & Prevention
  • Treatment and Rehabilitation of Injuries
  • Basic Taping upon Request
  • Acute Injury Care
  • Stretching Techniques
  • Professional Referrals
  • Availability of Supplies
  • Physical Therapy (billable service)

The Injury Care Clinic is located on the Basement floor of the Fieldhouse in Room B032.
