About
I have been with the CLAS Academic Advising Center since September 2012 as part of the Preprofessional Advising Team and have been working in health professions advising since 2008. I love working with science and health professions students because of their compassion, drive, and desire to help others! In addition to advising students, I also coordinate events and workshops with the Preprofessional Team and advise the Pre-Med Club and the Pre-MD/Ph.D. Club. I grew up in the Grand Rapids area and attended Grand Valley for both my undergraduate and graduate studies (#LakerforaLifetime!). I have a B.S. in Psychology, a minor in Criminal Justice, and an M.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education/College Student Affairs Leadership. Outside of work, my time is spent with my busy family: my husband Eric, daughter Avery, son Logan, stepson Lucas, and our dog Lexi.
