About
Hi Lakers! I was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, which is about 20 minutes north of Buffalo (Go Bills!) and completed my bachelor’s degree at SUNY Fredonia (’08) with a major in Psychology and minor in Sociology. I had such a fulfilling undergrad experience that I wanted a career which would allow me to work in higher education, so I went on to earn my master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from SUNY Buffalo State (‘13).
I’ve been lucky enough to work in a variety of different positions within higher ed. on campuses in several states (and Canada too!) and have been an Academic Advisor since 2015. My journey as an Advisor began at Indiana University South Bend, and after officially becoming a Michigander in 2018, I advised at Grand Rapids Community College until Fall 2025. I couldn’t be more excited to now be part of the Laker community and member of the CLAS Advising Team!
In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, sports, traveling, and spending time with my husband, stepdaughter and puppy!
