Hi! I’m originally from Battle Creek, MI and earned my B.S. in anthropology and history at Central Michigan University. From there I went on to my M.A. in anthropology at York University and then to my Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Notre Dame. My dissertation research focused on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic had in reshaping the everyday lives and routines of college students. After graduate school I worked at the Lee Honors College at Western Michigan University as an honors advisor before coming to GVSU in 2023 to join the CLAS academic advising team. I like to spend my free time reading books, playing board games, and listening to podcasts (on 2x speed). Also, I’m working on a long-term goal to visit every state park in Michigan.
