Capstone
The final part of your CLAS Voyage will be your Capstone course. In your Capstone course, you might publicly present your research, work with a community organization, write a thesis, or exhibit your art. Each major has its own Capstone course, which is designed to help you integrate what you’ve learned in your program, identify your skills, and apply your knowledge. As part of the CLAS Voyage, your Capstone will include a chance to reflect on your growth using the materials you have collected in your reflective portfolio.
Your Culminating Achievement
The specifics of your Capstone will depend on your major, but they often include a public presentation or demonstration of your work and opportunities to collaborate with classmates and/or the community. Your capstone might also involve career transition experiences (e.g., developing your resume, informational interviewing), a research project in the community, or attending a scholarly conference. Whatever the specifics, this culminating experience will help prepare you for your future while celebrating all your accomplishments!
