This service is available to GVSU CLAS faculty and staff on a first-come, first-served basis and is provided at no cost. Each van can transport up to fifteen students, including the driver. To provide barrier-free learning opportunities outside the classroom, CLAS has three 15-passenger vans available to faculty for use in school-related activities on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once a driver has registered and completed the orientation, please reach out to Heather Shenefield [email protected] for reservation help, such as checking for availability or making a reservation
To drive a van from the vanpool, a faculty member or student must have the following.
- A valid State of Michigan driver's license.
- Safe driving record. GVSU Public Safety will conduct annual background checks for drivers.
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Complete the driver registration form
- Complete the van orientation in Blackboard after watching the video provided by GVSU on driving a 15-passenger van.
