Materials and Submission Information

Track B is for students who have graduated from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care CoARC-accredited associate degree program and have their Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.

Rolling Deadline: Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis until all seats are filled.

  • Applicants may proceed to complete the BS RC application once admitted to Grand Valley State University.
  • These students will complete Respiratory Care (RSC), Allied Health Sciences (AHS) and General education designated courses. The number of outstanding general education courses will depend upon previous coursework. Student transcript(s) will be evaluated to determine transfer courses that fulfill the bachelor's degree requirements.
  • Students who have completed the MACRAO or MTA criteria through a community college will have fulfilled many of these general education courses.
  • Per the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), students entering the program without the advanced Registered Respiratory (RRT) credential must achieve the credential prior to taking the final semester RSC 495 capstone course.
  • Students can transfer up to 80 credits from the respiratory care associate degree toward GVSU's BSRC degree, and a minimum of 40 credits (of the required minimum 120 graduation credits) must be from a senior-level institution/university.
