• Entry Level is for students entering GVSU who do not currently have a respiratory care degree.
• Students admitted to Entry Level will take all programmatic classes at GVSU.

Application Requirements: 
The application & supplemental materials must be submitted electronically or postmarked by March 15 for priority consideration.

• GVSU Admissions Undergraduate Application - Admission to GVSU is required. Students must be admitted to Grand Valley State University prior to submitting the application.
• Respiratory Care Track A Program Application (use link above). Plan to fully complete and submit this online application in one sitting as it cannot be saved to return later.
• Official and updated copies of ALL non-GVSU transcripts need to be sent directly to the GVSU Admissions Office (if not previously submitted):

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Completion of Prerequisite Courses (grade of "C" or higher)
  • AHS 100 – Medical Terminology
  • BMS 250 & 251 – Anatomy and Physiology I & II
  • CHM 109 - Introductory Chemistry
  • MTH 110 - Algebra (A general education course may be substituted if advanced math placement is achieved)
  • WRT 150 – Strategies in Writing

• Applicants who are not currently enrolled at GVSU or have not yet taken GVSU classes should meet with a CHP academic advisor as soon as possible to review your transfer course equivalencies and program eligibility. Go to our CHP Student Services Office website or call our office at (616) 331-5900 to set up a prospective student advising appointment.
