CHP Grad from 1977 Receives Award from Florida Dental Association

COCOA, Fla. (August 19, 2026) – The Florida Dental Association (FDA) is proud to recognize Mrs. Jerilyn Bird, of Cocoa, with the Public Service Award at the 2026 FDA Award Luncheon in Orlando.
Bird has dedicated more than four decades to healthcare, dentistry and community service. After beginning her career as a Medical Technologist, she spent more than 30 years as a Practice Manager for Drs. Bird & Johnson Oral Surgery, helping deliver quality patient care.
A committed leader and volunteer, Bird has held numerous leadership roles, including President of the Alliance of the American Dental Association from 2003 to 2004, current President of the Alliance of the FDA, and Director of the Foundation for Dental Health Education. Bird is also a regular volunteer with the Florida Mission of Mercy, helping provide millions of dollars in free dental care to Floridians across the state.
