Laurie Stickler is a professor in the Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Department at GVSU. An orthopedic certified specialist, Laurie has 20+ years of outpatient physical therapy experience and continues to work clinically in a prn role. She serves as the faculty advisor for GVSU’s pro bono PT clinic, an associate editor for the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy, and as a member of the research committee for the Michigan Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Professional Interests
Laurie primarily teaches courses related musculoskeletal physical therapy. Her research interests include student engagement and patient outcomes related to the GVSU pro bono physical therapy clinic and health and nutrition of athletes.
