Bio
I have been a faculty member at GVSU since 2011, with a primary appointment in the Physician Assistant Department. I’m a Ph.D.-trained immunologist with degrees from the University of Michigan and Washington University in St. Louis. I spent over a decade at UT San Antonio in research, teaching, and directing a Flow Cytometry lab. At GVSU, I teach science and EBM, direct assessment, and help lead telehealth and rural education initiatives.
Professional Interests
My professional interests center on science education and the advancement of effective teaching practices in the health sciences. I engage in scholarly work related to telehealth, particularly its application in improving healthcare access and outcomes. I am also committed to curriculum development, with a focus on the integration of innovative instructional models.
