Bio
Dan Halling, Ph.D., holds rank of professor. He was recruited to GVSU to design an AuD program. As the first unit head he also created the BS in CSD and the MS in SLP. He has many scholarly publications and presentations, directs PhD dissertations, and has taken students to Spain and Belgium. He spearheaded the creation of a clinic that serves students and the hearing needs of underserved populations. He enjoys working with ASHA and has served as Chair of CAA and CFCC and was awarded Fellow.
Professional Interests
Research Interests include Psychoacoustics and speech perception, and Hearing conservation, particularly related to recreational listening. Teaching Interests include Hearing Science, Basic Audiology, Psychoacoustics, Instrumentation, and Professional Issues.
