Bio
Dr. Theresa Bacon-Baguley serves as Associate Dean for Research and is a faculty member in the Physician Assistant Studies Department. Her role as Associate Dean includes grant development, IRB application review, and oversight of distant campuses. Dedicated to improving healthcare education and access, she led the development and implementation of health programs aimed at addressing the needs of rural and underserved communities in northern Michigan, supported by multiple HRSA and RUS grants.
Professional Interests
Areas of scholarship incudes distant education, evidence-based practice, telemedicine, and rural health disparities. Although her passion for teaching is in the area of hemostasis and cardiology, she has also taught medical physiology, pathophysiology, evidence-based medicine, neuropathology and research.
