Bio
I am a CTRS with experience across diverse various patient populations. I have spent time working in psychiatric care where I developed therapeutic protocols and assessments. I have also served veterans and elderly populations in long-term care, conducting research on veterans' leisure activities. I hold a BS in Therapeutic Recreation and an MPA in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University. I am currently a board member for the Michigan Therapeutic Recreation Asociation.
Professional Interests
My teaching is driven by student-centered learning with a focus on implementing innovative teaching methods in the classroom to fully engage students in the content. Additionally, as health care is an ever evolving field and with AI becoming more prominent, I would like to expand our understanding on how we could use AI to enhance the classroom experience for students as well as how practitioners can use AI in a meaningful and beneficial way.
Education

B.S in Therapeutic Recreation - 2014 - GVSU
Masters in Public Administration (MPA) - 2019 - GVSU
