Drop-In Advising Services
Before Break
If you need or wish to make changes to your winter schedule, and would like to meet with an advisor, please connect with us before the break by email, phone or appointments available in Navigate.
During Break
GVSU will be closed for the holidays beginning Friday, December 19th at 5:00 pm through Monday, January 5th at 8:00 am.
After Break
You can also plan to use our virtual or in-person drop in advising beginning Monday January 5th through Friday January 16th.
After Break: Drop in between Jan 5th-16th
We offer drop in advising through the first week of classes to assist with final scheduling changes. You do NOT need an appointment during the first week of classes.
In Person Drop-Ins
To drop in in-person, simply stop by our office in 321 C DEV on the Downtown Campus between 9:00 am and 12:00pm and between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Virtual Drop-Ins
Virtual: To drop in virtually during the same hours, login to Navigate with your GVSU Network ID and password.
- Click on "Schedule an Appointment"
- Click "Other Appointments" and then "View Drop in Times"
- Choose Academic Advising and Your Major (ex: Criminal Justice or Social Work)
- Watch your GVSU Student email for a zoom link to join the virtual session.
