Jon Lehrer is the 2nd GVSU University Carillonist. A graduate of Yale University and the Royal Carillon School of Belgium, Jon is also a laureate of 5 international competitions for carillon, a prolific solo touring artist on the international stage, a former touring representative of the Canada Council for the Arts, and a former musical entertainer on the US Renaissance Faire circuit. Jon was once a data scientist and cancer researcher but now focuses on creating moments of beauty and calm for busy university communities, promoting the carillon art, and instructing the next generation of carillonists. Come on out to campus and hear him play!
