A Halloween Spectacular at Cook Carillon Tower
As darkness falls, Cook Carillon Tower comes to life, transformed into a 40ft screen where moving images burst forth to the sounds of a live concert on its 48-bell carillon. University carillonist Jon Lehrer and building mapping expert Alison Dobbins present a multi-modal spectacular of frightful tunes together with bespoke building animations. You've never seen Cook Tower like this before.

About the carillons
GVSU is one of only a few dozen US Universities with an active carillon performance tradition and one of only 3 institutions in the entire Western Hemisphere with multiple carillon towers.
Each week the university carillonist rings out music on the bells of Cook and Beckering Towers, from Bach to Billie Eilish, classic film scores to contemporary carillon compositions, and plenty more. If you’re on one of GVSU’s campuses and hear music on bells coming from a nearby tower, someone is probably up there performing it for you live.
