What is the EPLI Bootcamp: Essential Foundations?

The EPLI Bootcamp: Essential Foundations includes an integration of the universal supports, behavioral practices, and instructional strategies from Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Educational Supports and Strategies, and other START training modules and resources. Content will be organized for flexible and customizable training and coaching needs.

The Essential Foundations Bootcamp will consist of on-demand coursework, nine virtual half-days of core content, and three in-person Training and Coaching Days.

What is the time commitment for the EPLI Bootcamp: Essential Foundations?

  • Coach Leaders are strongly encouraged to participate in Modules 1-3 of the EPLI Bootcamp: Essential Foundations, which focus on training and coaching.
  • Coach Leaders are also strongly encouraged to complete all asynchronous coursework.

What are the requirements for Coach Leaders to attend the EPLI Bootcamp: Essential Foundations?

  • Hold a Michigan Department of Education or BCBA credential AND employed by a public school in Michigan
  • Have at least 2 years of experience working with students with autism
  • Desire to strengthen content knowledge and evidence-based practices to support autistic students
  • Share key concepts and resources from the EPLI Bootcamp: Essential Foundations with Building Coaches in your ISD, district, or RCN
  • Establish rapport and connections with Building Coaches
  • Have or are in the process of building a coaching structure in which regular contact with and support of Building Coaches occurs
  • Understand the importance of post-training follow-up and coaching on the implementation of evidence-based practices
  • Commit to championing inclusive practices and equitable access for all students

How do Coaches attend the EPLI Bootcamp: Essential Foundations?

Coach Leaders are required to submit a brief application to attend.

  • This application will take approximately 8-12 minutes and should be completed in one session.
  • Upon submission of the application, Coach Leaders will receive access to the asynchronous coursework. This coursework is strongly encouraged, but optional.
